There are many cooks at Burning Man, and there is truly a WHOLE LOT creative cooking too! The desert is a truly unique setting where no human is supposed to survive. Research and talking to Burners has shown that many Burners put a lot of effort and thought in the idea of what food, ingredients, preparation tools, culinary highlights, brews and stews they bring to Burning Man. During the days in BRC, burners will show and share their creativity and passion. People will create kitchens, stoves, BBQ’s, installations, home made spirits, infusions, mouthwash, teas and brews and cook on the coals of the man. It is our mission to document this phenomenon with great images of the people, the rituals and place where they are created and prepared with, the attention to the 10 principles of the Burning Man, in mind.

By talking to people in and outside of BRC over the years, we know people would like to know "What's cooking at Burning Man?".  We believe this is for good reasons; our home there is a unique setting and food, what we drink and brew is part of our primary needs as human beings to stay nourished. We are here to bring the unique food, brews, and distilleries and our rituals to the global (kitchen) table, and share this experience with our community and the world at large. See you in the dust!

Who are we? That’s classified. We are the shadowy, dust-covered figures sniffing out secret tea ceremonies and midnight hot pot rituals across Black Rock City. Like the good fellas at M*chelin, we also decided it’s best if we stay undercover. No names, no faces. Just hot scoops, direct from the playa, we keep it spicy. We serve the scoop while it’s hot.
